Wii Forecast Channel Live!
In the US at least ^_^
From Go Nintendo:
“The entire Wii community is still abuzz with talk of cross-region VC purchasing. We discussed this awhile back, and now AzaMcWazza has sent in a video. Nintendo must know about this…I wonder if they are going to do something about it.”

Note: Be wary of the music in the video… seems really loud and obnoxious!
Some interesting things I’ve found whilst messing around with Nintendo’s new system:
Photo Channel:
-If you hold down the 1 button while on the puzzle game, you can select an option for 194 pieces.
-A cat runs across the top of the screen on the Fun page, catch it with A+B for tips.
-You can send images to your Wii via email attachments, though I’ve yet to determine which images are acceptable to Nintendo’s servers. It almost seems random which ones actually get through to the system, as I’ve sent images with the exact same properties (480×320, 24bitRGB, 72dpi, default JPEG compression, memory footprint of 1.26MB, file size of 282KB) yet only one will show up. Dpi doesn’t seem to be an issue, as I sent one at 640×480, 24bit RGB, 102dpi, default JPEG compression. Also, an 1280×960, 24bit RGB, 72dpi, default JPEG compression, with a memory footprint of 3.95MB and file size of 198KB image was received just fine. I’m sure that the image can’t be larger than 1.5MB due to an error message I received after sending an 2.2MB image.
Your message is larger than the destination computer is willing to
accept, so it was returned. The error message below indicates the
size of your message and the maximum size allowed by the receiving
E-mail system. You may be able to split your message into several
smaller pieces and have them delivered separately.
Size of this message: 1627775 bytes
Server maximum size: 1572864 bytes
-If you have MP3s on your SD card, you can change the background music during a slide show.
-Puzzle mode allows for Co-Op play!
Message Board/WiiConnect24/Others:
-When you receive a new message, your controller will chirp once along with the disc slot lighting up. Not sure if this works while the controller is off.
-The console seems to check for new content when you enter or leave the Photo and Wii Shop Channels. Depending on the amount of content, this causes a black screen to show for quite some time as the system downloads, making it seem locked-up. I sent 10 images to my system in a row as a test, took my Wii ~5 minutes to exit the Shop Channel, and just before returning to the Wii Menu, the disc slot flashed blue.
-Every time you enter/exit a game or the Mii Channel, the system records it as a separate play period, and posts it to the Message Board. It seems that if you don’t exit back to the Wii Menu before powering off the system, play time is recorded as ‘Other’.
-If you attach a Mii to a message being sent to a normal email address (ie, not to another Wii system,) the 2d picture of your Mii does not go along for the ride.
-You can rearrange certain things using A+B… messages on the message board, channels on the Wii Menu, images in the Photo Channel.
